Hi! My name is Mike. I am a Cartographer, Data Visualization Specialist, and Geospatial Data Scientist based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I work as a GIS/Data Visualization Specialist and Instructor in the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning and am a Research Associate in the MIT Civic Data Design Lab. Away from MIT, I am a freelance designer with F+H Geographics, LLC, and one of the organizers of the Maptime Boston meetup. I possess a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master's degree in GIS from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
